MIPORE @ InterPore2026

What a week at InterPore2026 in Nantes!
MIPORE group brought a fantastic lineup of talks and posters.
- Aronne dell’Oca delivered a solicited presentation on carbon sequestration in fractured formations, revealing how hydraulic and structural heterogeneity shape mineralization outcomes.
- Laura Ceresa (former postdoc in MIPORE group, now at UPC) shared her work on uncertainty in reactive transport across redox‑active porous media, using state‑of‑the‑art stochastic modeling to better understand pollutant and redox dynamics.
- Roel Hernandez Rodriguez presented pore‑scale simulations of adsorbing solute transport in partially saturated media, grounded in millifluidic experimental imaging.
- Chiara Recalcati (former postdoc in MIPORE group, now at Eawag) introduced a new MIPORE – SEP group collaboration using Information Theory to quantify how pore‑scale hydrodynamics and nutrient transport influence bacterial behavior.
Looking forward to the next InterPore conference!
