MIPORE @ EGU2026

What a great experience at the European Geosciences Union (EGU) General Assembly in Vienna!
We were proud to contribute with presentations and discussions spanning biofilms, groundwater modeling, river corridor biogeochemistry, reactive transport, and hyporheic mixing processes.
Highlights from the week:
- Malik presented research from the MOBIUS project on transport processes in biofilm-colonized pore spaces.
- Leonardo Sandoval, former postdoc in MIPORE group, shared his work on improving calibration strategies for large-scale integrated surface water-groundwater models.
- Aronne presented joint work with Tomas Aquino and Kevin Roche on biogeochemical transformations in river corridors, as part of the HYPOR project.
- Martina showcased new experimental and modeling insights into coupled dissolution-precipitation processes at calcite-water interfaces in the presence of cadmium.
- Daniele presented a poster on mixing processes in hyporheic environments.
Congratulations to the entire team for their excellent work!
