We were thrilled to participate in the EGU2024 General Assembly!

MIPORE group had an exciting time at the annual European Geosciences Union (EGU) conference, held in the heart of Vienna from April 15th to 19th, 2024. Throughout the event, we actively engaged in captivating discussions during various sessions. Here are some highlights:

• Prof. Monica Riva shared groundbreaking advancements in the geological reconstruction of the large-scale Po River basin within a probabilistic framework.
• Aronne dell’Oca explored the application of sensitivity analysis techniques to efficiently manage the response of urban sewer systems to flooding.
• Chiara Recalcati presented her cutting-edge experimental methodology to study mineral dissolution kinetics at the nanoscale.
• Ehsan Ranaee‘s pico presentation sparked lively conversations about geogenic hydrogen and carbon storage in deep reservoirs.
• Interesting discussions arose around Ashfeen Khan‘s, Milad Panahi‘s and Wenqiao Jiao‘s posters.

And the pinnacle of our experience? Prof. Alberto Guadagnini’s inspiring lecture, which followed the prestigious Henry Darcy Medal award ceremony.
