PhD candidate
I am a PhD student from Hohai University embarking on an double PhD program with Politecnico di Milano. My current research mainly focuses on biomineralization mechanisms in porous media. I am conducting laboratory biomineralization experiments, as well as developing pore-scale models to analyze experimental outcomes. I characterize biomineralization mechanisms at the pore scale and assess changes in porosity and permeability at the column scale via nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) and X-ray Computed Tomography (X-CT). Numerical modeling is grounded on a pore network model (PNM) based on the previous experimental findings. My studies aim to establish a framework to control internal erosion within dams.
Expertise in:
- Electrical resistivity tomography
- Biomineralization in the porous media
