I am a PhD candidate in Environmental and Infrastructure Engineering at the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering. I am interested in global climate change, water security, hydrologic-hydrodynamic modeling, and geostatistics. During my master’s program, I studied Environmental Engineering and more specifically Earth Resources Engineering. My previous research includes fluvial flood modeling and flood inundation mapping, rainfall-runoff modeling in semi-arid areas, and mountain flash flood hazard investigation and assessment. My PhD study will integrate surface and subsurface water modeling to explore the groundwater change of a large catchment in northern Italy. At the same time, I will be involved in the EU-funded project RECYCLE.
