Prof. Alberto Guadagnini will receive the Henry Darcy Medal by the European Geosciences Union (EGU), the leading organization for Earth, planetary and space science research in Europe.

Alberto will be awarded during the 2024 EGU General Assembly, that will be held from 14th to 19th April, for his research works aimed at expanding the frontiers of our knowledge on flow and contaminant transport in groundwater systems and porous media. This medal was established by the Hydrological Sciences Division of the EGU in recognition of the scientific achievements of Henry Darcy. It is awarded to individuals in recognition of their outstanding scientific contributions in water resources research and water resources engineering and management.
