Our PhD candidates Wenqiao Jiao and Chiara Recalcati attended the 26^th CISM-IUTAM international summer school on “Convection and Deformation in Porous Media: Geophysical and Biological flows“, held in Udine, Italy.

Wenqiao and Chiara presented their research during the poster session. Wenqiao showed his experimentally- and modeling-based approach to characterize the properties of a structurally variable porous medium. Chiara shared her latest results about the statistical characterization of the heterogeneity of calcite dissolution rate at the microscale.
