Our PhD candidate Andrea Manzoni just presented at “AI of the Present” SPE event, exploring Artificial Intelligence in Oil & Gas, Automotive, and Renewable Energy. Andrea shared insights on AI’s impact on groundwater flow and contaminant transport about:

1.  the use of neural networks for 3D reconstruction of geomaterials in the Po River basin, addressing uncertainty in hydrogeology;
2.  the application of computer vision and neural networks to contaminant transport predictions, reducing computational costs.
