What a productive week for MIPORE group at IDRA2026 in Napoli, with contributions across multiple scales of hydrological and biogeochemical processes.

Our group contributed four scientific presentations:

• Daniele – The impact of dispersion, heterogeneity and upwelling flow on solute mixing dynamics in the hyporheic zone
• Aronne – Numerical assessment of biofilm transport properties based on microfluidic experiments
• Alberto – Sensitivity-guided calibration of large-scale surface-subsurface models
• Samantha – Nanoscale characterization of calcite dissolution in Cd-bearing solutions

We also supported the conference through two convened sessions:

• Aronne – Session S5‑05 Transport processes in water systems across scales
• Monica – Session S6‑03 Groundwater characterization, modeling, and sustainable management in the context of global challenges

A week filled with ideas, discussions, and great science.
