Samantha Ancellotti
PhD candidate
I am an Environmental Engineer and PhD candidate in Environmental and Infrastructure Engineering at Politecnico di Milano. My research project aims to study mineral dissolution under contaminated water flow, combining Atomic Force Microscopy (AFM) experiments conducted at the Solid-Liquid Interface Nanomicroscopy and Spectroscopy (SoLINano-Σ) interdepartmental lab with geostatistical models for interpreting the interface dynamics. The objective is to understand pollutants mobility and retention in natural systems by characterizing the spatio-temporal evolution at the elemental level up to the field scale.
Expertise in:
- Atomic Force Microscopy at reactive mineral-water interfaces
- Environmental pollution and remediation technologies
