Ashfeen successfully defended his PhD dissertation titled “A multiscale investigation into the adsorption of Iodinated Contrast Media Agents in porous media” on January 19th.
Ashfeen’s research addresses the environmental challenge of Iodinated Contrast Media (ICMs) in water through a comprehensive multiscale investigation. The work progresses from in-silico molecular modeling to the development of a high-performance tailored organo-clay adsorbent. The research expands to larger scale by introducing a new framework for Water Quality Indices (WQIs), for assessing water health and managing environmental risks. As one of REMEDI‘s Early Stage Researchers, Ashfeen carried out his PhD project between Politecnico di Milano and REMEDI’s industrial partners, including TAUW Germany and Lario Reti Holding.
Huge congratulations to Ashfeen!
